New YouTube Video Channel

Hi everyone! I've just set up a new YouTube video channel where I'll showcase new videos of Samantha. I'm slowly but surely uploading all of the videos we have, so check frequently for updates!

<<<< Look in the left column for the "Video Bar". This will have the most recently updated videos.

Samantha's 7 Month Photos

It's been a really fast 7 months! Samantha is officially mobile. She can roll over, spin in any direction, and crawl backwards (sort of). She has started to get up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth like it's 1999. She's probably 4-6 weeks away from crawling -- just in time for our trip to Fripp in July.

She still doesn't have teeth, but we think they're on their way. She certainly likes to chew on EVERYTHING (including Hobie's tail!)

Samantha and her Daddy

Daddy's first time feeding her isn't exactly a clean experience... :)

Samantha had her 6 month appointment right around this time, and she was right where she should be. She is 27" tall and almost 16 lbs., putting her in the 75-90th percentile in height and 25-50th percentile in weight. Tall and thin. Every other woman is jealous. Daddy is getting very worried.

Don't miss his musical talents in the video at the end of the album!

Samantha Goes to Church with Papa

Papa Mixon came to visit and we decided we'd all go to church together. Naturally Jackie wanted to dress Sam up in one of her closet full of adorable outfits (thanks Grandmas!).

Here are some adorable shots of Samantha and her Papa...

Easter 2009

The entire family -- Beldings, Mixons, Samples -- came to visit for Easter 2009. We carried on the long-standing olive-on-the-finger tradition. Grand bought Sam the little baby olives and the big kids the super mega jumbo size.

Make sure to watch the video after you click the picture below.

Spring Break 2009 at Fripp

The three of us, along with our friends Joe, Kat, Lexi, Yoli, and Israel, went to Fripp Island for Spring Break 2009. This was Samantha's second trip to South Carolina -- visiting her Great Grandma was her first -- and her first time to the ocean!

We had a great time at the beach, at the playground, and visiting Hunting Island. We met SARS Deer and Bambi94, saw a gator, and almost got blown off the beach. Joe made the best Jambalaya we've ever had (thanks to the local, fresh shrimp). We finshed the trip with a beautiful sunset.

We can't wait to go back for the 4th of July!

Samantha's 5 Month Photos

This is the age where we need to get some candid shots to use at her rehearsal dinner!

Thanks to Jason and Laurie Tiller for the "I'm Not a Boy" onesie and to the Cisco PES team for the "Cisco Kid" onesie. She loves them both!

Aunt Stacey's 27th Birthday

We spent the day with Aunt Stacey for her 27th birthday. While it was supposed to be about her, Samantha really stole the show :)

Future Rockette

We're not sure what she'll want to be, but Samantha just might be a future Rockette!

(Make sure to turn up your sound!)

Samantha's 4 Month Photos

We took Samantha to the doctor for her four month check-up. She weighed 13lb. 1 oz. (25th-50th percentile) and is 24.75" long (50th-75th percentile). The doctor cleared her to start on rice cereal, so we gave it a shot. It tastes pretty horrible but, surprisingly, she didn't completely hate it.

Laughing Baby

Our little one really loves to laugh! Here's a video Jackie took of Samantha laughing out loud (make sure to turn up your sound)...

Here is a small gallery of Sam's 3 month pictures taken by her Aunt Katie. Sam really loves to laugh!

Visit with Great Grandma Mixon

Between Christmas and New Years we went to visit Samantha's Great Grandma Mixon and Great Uncle Bob in Barnwell, SC. We had four generations of Georgia girls (Edith, Sandra, Jackie, and Samantha) as well as four generations of our family.

Here is a slideshow of about 30 pictures. Click on the slideshow to see bigger photos.

Here's a video of the best gift of 2008!

Samantha's First Christmas

Samatha had her first Christmas this year. Grandma and Papa Mixon and Aunt Katie came up from Augusta and stayed at our house. We had Christmas morning here and then went to Grandma and Pops' house in John's Creek.
Here is a photo gallery of some of the many pictures we took for Christmas.
